NOAH’S ARK

ong ago, a man named Noah listened to God’s command to build a big boat to keep his family and all of the animals from drowning in a flood which was about to occur.

There are two thoughts to keep in mind when you sing this song:

  1. Like Noah, we should always obey God’s commands because He knows what is best for us.
  2. The ark saved Noah and his family just as Jesus saves us if we believe in Him.

“There Will Always Be a RAINBOW”

The picture on the left is a photograph of a real rainbow in the sky taken by Mr. Bob Fay. If you would like to see more rainbow photos, please click on this link link to Mr. Fay’s Web site. Many people think the rainbow is simply a beautiful display of color in the sky made by sunshine on raindrops. For both Christians and Jews, however, the rainbow has very deep meaning. God gave the rainbow special meaning when he made an agreement with Noah. In this agreement, God promised that He would not destroy the world with a flood. God said the rainbow would be a sign of His promise. The next time you see a rainbow, look closely to see that the rainbow also looks like a “bridge” between heaven and earth. This helps to remind Christians that Jesus came to be the “bridge” or link between God and man. Perhaps you will see a rainbow soon and when you do, think about all that it stands for.

The Bible is the most important book ever written. It is found in more places around the world than any other book in human history.

- It was written some 1900 to 3500 years ago.

- It contains 773,692 words which are as important today as when they were written.

- The Bible answers many questions about life.

- The bible tells us about God, who we are, how we can have eternal life, and how we should live our lives.

Do you read your Bible to get answers to these important questions?

All God’s “Heroes”

“All God’s Heroes” is about seven very important persons of the Old Testament. Learn about these important men by looking at the beautiful pictures by Karen Kincaid Geffert of the Virtual Church. Please click on the Virtual Church for more details on these men as well as other Bible stories. Then, don’t forget to listen to the music to hear still more about these famous characters!

How many people could live in the stomach of a big fish? Well, thats exactly what Jonah did … at least for a few days! The Bible tells us Jonah was swallowed by the fish after he had disobeyed God’s command to preach to his enemies. God saved Jonah from the fish, forgave his sins and helped Jonah change his mind and obey God. God always stands by to forgive us and give us another chance … just as he did Jonah.

David killed Goliath, Israel’s enemy, with his simple slingshot and a stone. Goliath was probably ten feet tall, and his armour may have weighed over 150 pounds! David was able to do this amazing feat by the power of God. Because David trusted God, he was not afraid of Goliath. Sometimes we face big things in our lives such as problems or fears. God will help us face these “giants” of life … just as he helped David.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednigo … three amazing men. They were thrown into a very hot furnace because they refused to worship idols instead of God. They were not harmed by the furnace; in fact, they did not even smell of smoke when they came out! The secret? … Their faith and trust in God.

In this picture, you see Joseph wearing his coat of many beautiful colors. We often think of Joseph wearing this beautiful coat and sometimes forget the problems he had during his life. Many unpleasant things happened to Joseph. His brothers planned to kill him and he was forced to be a slave. In spite of all of these troubles, Joseph rose from a slave to become a leader of Egypt. The Bible says that in all situations, Joseph remained faithful to God and his family and served others in a caring way. In fact, he later saved his brothers even though they had wronged him! Would you be able to forgive and care for others as Joseph did? … God can help you do just that!

“Perfect Love”

This song tells how God’s love is more beautiful than the sun, clouds, flowers, and butterflies He created!

The depth of God’s love for us is beyond our understanding.

It is enduring and eternal if we will accept it and share it.

“He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands”

This song tells us that God not only created the world, but is in control of it. He is responsible for the miracles of the past and the provisions of today and the future. Sometimes we think we are in control, but we are really “in His hands” …

“The Books of the Bible”

These songs help us learn the names of the sixty-six books of the Bible. The first song may be a new tune for many of you. The second song is based on the tune “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and may be easier to sing. Some of the books are named after people while others are named after places or subjects. In each book, God is speaking to us in a special way. Some books tell us how God created the world. Other books tell us how we should live. Many of the books tell us about Jesus and how we can know Him. If you would like to know more about some of the books, just click on the moving book names in the yellow rectangle above. In each book, God will teach you something about Himself or about you that you probably didn’t know.
